With a deep love of classic cars in the studio, we jumped at the opportunity to photograph this beautiful car and produce a book in its honor.
The original supercar
Quite a statement, but one considered by ‘those who know’to be a true one.
We were offered the opportunity to shoot this beautiful example of a Lamborghini Miura in a dedicated car studio for the day. With the help of the experienced car photographer, Oli Tennant, we directed this shoot with the aim of capturing this car in all of its bright orange glory.
Focusing on lighting the car to accentuate these wonderful 60’s, hand-crafted curves, we managed to capture a selection of images which we believed, used graphically, together with some strong accompanying typography, would make an interesting little book on the rich history of this car.
Famous for its mid-century simplicity, Helvetica seemed a fitting font choice for this project. Used boldly with the (Pantone 021 – a great match!) orange colour of the car, this duotone book turned into a lovely little studio keepsake to celebrate a 60’s icon!
